Bringing Hope, Building Lives.
That’s how many young lives in India slip into child labour, According to The Indian Census 2011, UNICEF & Independent Sources.
A beacon of Hope.
It's time to change this unending cycle. This is where we at Nirikshea step in. Offering every child a future they deserve.
Born out of compassion, Nirikshea (which means Hope) began with a single purpose: to uplift the poor, marginalized and backward communities living in the slums of Bengaluru, Karnataka. We do this by providing education for children as a means to escape poverty.
Our vision is to break the cycle of illiteracy among children from poor communities by providing them with opportunities to continue their education and build a better future.
At Nirikshea, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn, dream, and thrive—regardless of their past or circumstances. Our approach is deeply practical –
We identify children who have fallen through the cracks, rebuild their learning foundations through bridge programs, guide them back into formal education, support their higher studies, and nurture their emotional well-being.
By combining education, counseling, and community care, Nirikshea transforms lives step by step—turning lost potential into lasting progress.
A bridge-school initiative for children who have had long breaks in schooling or have attended only Grade 1. The program offers a one or two year curriculum covering essential subjects like Math, English, and Science, helping kids reintegrate into formal education.
Srushti is a learning program designed to support students who have discontinued their higher studies but still have the desire to complete their education. The program aims to provide opportunities, guidance, and resources to those who wish to continue their academic journey but lack the financial means or support to do so.
A scholarship program that provides full or partial funding (up to 80%) for three-year degree courses, covering two semesters each year. Vriddhi ensures that financial constraints don’t hinder deserving students from pursuing higher education and achieving career success.

What I truly like about Nirikshea is how they care for students- not just academically but personally. It’s more than an institution; it’s a family that supports and encourages every child. During my NIOS studies, Nirikshea helped me financially and emotionally when I was facing challenges. The teachers were patient, understanding, and always took extra time to guide me whenever I struggled. Because of their constant support, I was able to continue my studies with hope and confidence. Nirikshea has truly changed my life, and I’ll always be grateful for the kindness and guidance I received there.
My Name is Maithra, through Nirikshea’s Scholarship program called Vriddhi I was able to turn my life around from poverty to financially helping my Parents and siblings today by working in a start up company.
I’m Diana, Meethin’s aunt. We came to know about Nirikshea through Aruna Ma’am, and when Meethin joined at 15—after a long break from school due to Covid—he was unsure about his future. Over the past three years, Nirikshea has transformed him into a confident and motivated student. The caring teachers and supportive environment helped him grow, build friendships, and discover his strengths. I’m truly grateful to everyone at Nirikshea for their dedication, patience, and care toward Meethin’s journey.
My name is Zach, and I studied at Nirikshea for three years—a truly beautiful journey. The shift from 10th to 12th grade gave me a new start and hope to continue my education. Today, I’m pursuing a BBA in Digital Marketing, something I once thought impossible. Nirikshea gave me the strength and support to reach this stage, and for that, I’m deeply grateful to all the teachers and board members who guided me along the way.
My name is Rajamma, and I’m Zack’s mother. For years, I struggled to give my son a chance at education and had almost lost hope. Nirikshea changed that by helping my son continue his studies and supporting our whole family when no one else did. They stood by us with care and encouragement. I’m deeply thankful to Nirikshea for giving us hope and strength when we needed it most.
